My grandmothers brother before he went to the front in 1940.

A classic example of saving small bits and loosing sight over the big picture. Opened some small boxes i bought over the year. Put them all with eachother. Seems i have more 8mm mauser and 8mm Kurtz that is pre 1945 then i thought. Then to think i know a guy that is holding 400 kurtz and 300 8mm...

No need to worry, i said it was printed on the sides (maybe stencilled is the correct term?). the head looks like this.

Since i had one of my ammunition boxes open you might like some other pictures that i took. Here is an example of how the 8x56 steyr is packed. And, for the Dutch people here, a 1926 dated clip in 6.5x53r, i have a few of these, found them at a market at 6am in brussels.

25mm AP is simply to small and slow to do any serious damage unless you hit something important. Still it is my favourite early war AT gun out there. Here are some more pictures, decided to take out some of the rimmed bullets i have from ww2. From top to bottom (pic is taken at angle, sorry)...

Yes it is a 25mm Hotchkiss round. One of the only canon shells that i know that look like a scaled up rifle bullet. Don't have my .55 boys bullets with me now but i will take a picture of it so you can compare the sizes soon. Here is the back of it.

    Militaria

Close! But you don't have the scaling quite right. 1941 made .303 as reference at the bottom.

You guys might like this one then ;) Try to guess what used to shoot it. Made in 1939.

Is it that hard to headspace a Lee enfield? If the space is to big, then you take out the bolt, unscrew the end, look for the number on the end piece, look for a new one with a higher number (you have 0, 1 ,2 and 3) screw one on with a higher number. Shoot some more. once your 3 is no longer...

Sorry that it has again been super long for a new post but things haven't exactly been that good for me recently. Here you have my 1892 chatellerault made Berthier carbine produced in 1898. Unfortunately it is missing its cleaning rod but those are insanely hard to find. Its a French second line...

    Ammunition suggestion.

Here is an example of the 9x19mm bullet. Left is British, Right is German. Both 1943 production. The German one seems to be completely magnetic. Note the different projectile and casing rim shape. I have the feeling the British bullet is also more heavy. I will weigh it in 2 weeks at work when i...

What type of pictures? Here is the only one i took wile shooting. My target card. The one that is up was for the Mauser. The one laying down was the one for the Enfield. Distance 50 meters, standing, unsupported. Keep in mind, some shots where more of tests, not carefully aimed. Also i tried...

    Military Picture of the Day

Norwegian art work/war memorial. Look at all those mint condition K98k that came straight from army storage to be brutally raped and destroyed. I felt sick looking at it.

More WW1 again, time for a rifle from austria-hungary. It is a Steyr Manlicher M95 straight pull rifle! Note on how optimistic they are by setting the minimum range of the sights at 500 schritt, and all the way up to 2600 schritt! It was fed by a 6 round en block clip. Comes with a bayonet that...

Something a bit different now. It is a German peoples gas mask model 1940. This one is specifically for children and it comes in it original box, all complete. Also, i will sell this mask very soon. They are super cool and all but i prefer focussing on my helmets and rifles/bayonets now.

    Some light relief... |56k Warning|

Just look at that debres fly, how big do you think those chunks are? 5 meters? 10 meters? and how high do they go? 500 meters?(about 10 second drop from top altitude) I guess distance to explosion is about 4.5km (about 13 seconds) Pretty darn epic!

No problem, more will show up and i will post them here for you. Found some old american stuff for the M1 Carbine. Mostly mid war and ofcourse dirty but it should still work after you clean them a bit. I hope to recover 95% of these.
