We have thought about it, and it will prob be a deploy animation that will also considerably slow you and be terribly inaccurate at any distance. It should only be an emergency thing, not something we want to encourage players to do.

Thank goodness. Keep up the good work! And I'm dying for another update, it's been a month . . .

That being said, will it be easier to do with a Bren than with a MG34/42? There are quite a few examples of it being very effective. There was this guy on D-Day who cleared out two pillboxes by charging them while hipfiring his Bren gun. He was awarded the VC for this action, IIRC.

It will be effective in the sense that, at close range, it's basically a giant shotgun. Combine that with suppression and you will be effectively able to assault, just for gameplay reasons it will slow you down and take a bit to deploy it through. Honestly the MG34/42 were both about as easy to fire in this method, it was mostly a matter of proper bracing for recoil and such.

Just don't expect any kind of accuracy, and having to fire very very short bursts

Remember the clip where they showcased the Bren? They did some hipfire there, it looked pretty smooth. So . . . now you guys have to showcase the Maschinengewehr 34/42 for me to compare xD
