Someone help me out here-
I have a few questions on Soviet uniforms.

1. How common was the M-35/40 tunic during WWII?
Did they produce them during the entire war or did they end production?

2. Is the M-35/40 tunic supposed to have shoulder boards?
I've been google searching and a lot of original photographs show it without them but some do.
Is it related to rank at all?

3. Tabs on the M-35/40 collar.
Is this rank related at all?
Again, I see photographs with and without this.
If it is rank related, is there some table of different rank tab thingies I can look at?

That's all for now... thank you.

Just got home from a long day, will craft a proper response to this tomorrow. But short responses are:

1) They ended production around the time the new rank structure was introduced in 1943

2) The shoulderboards were added after the return to Tsarist rank structure in 1943

3) The collar tabs are the pre-1943 soviet rank structure, found here (will update this with better reference, my usual go-to rank site seems to be down):
