World military marches

excellent @FlyingR. I knew that you would post some Chinese march

When I first heard it, I was quite surprised because I expected something like the typical depressing Soviet/Commie march song but this was pretty upbeat, I actually enjoyed it pretty much!

Nice march FlyingR! If they are to follow the rules of socialist realism it should sound quite optimistic, upbeat and inspiring. I think the heavier, sader soviet marches are mostly stemming from russian traditional culture and the "complex russian soul", as refered to (not sure if a popular expression in the west). Some of them are based on songs and melodies even older than the revolution and choir singing was popular in the church and probably opera long before as well. So I think that chinese marches, although somewhat inspired by soviet ones, are generaly lighter and more optimistic xD
I'm generally quite the sucker for soviet/russian marches, songs but I've listened to many of them and now this thread is very nice and refreshing. Keep posting guys!
