What are your thoughts on the Anti-Counterfeiting Trade Agreement (ACTA)

If you don't know what is is, it is the Euro version of SOPA and here is a little video putting it into easier terms:

Well SOPA never stood a chance, in fact people just over reacted to it. So does ACTA really stand any more of a chance?

Of course I'm against all this It won't let me sign the petition though as Im' not a Brit.

Yeah, well i do hope this doesn't stand a chance. Otherwise everyone is in trouble! haha

The final and most influential committee on ACTA has now given its verdict and recommends the European Parliament rejects the legislation. A good day for civil liberties vs. intellectual property rights but it will leave the issue of anti-piracy legislation open for the foreseeable future.
