Thanks a lot for your criticism! I appreciate it. Let me see if I can improve the model some more. :)

EDIT:

Heres a bit of an update, not much, but a little bit.
-Added the iron sight at the rear, not sure what should be at the front/foresight though.
-Made the foregrip smaller and longer.
-Added a handle thingy near the rear of the model, what you would pull to load the gun.

Im still not too sure of what should be added to the body of the model. I might just be missing it, it happens sometimes. If someone would be kind enough to point it out exactly by circling it, that would be great. Sorry for sounding so dense. It's just one of those mornings. I think that I would personally texture on a lot of that detail. Though for CRYENGINE im not sure just how many polys/etc. I can use. Or a better way to word it is what should and should not be modelled on. Anyhow, let me know if you think aynthing else can be improved!

Nice work! Do you use autodesk?

Yes, I am using Autodesk Softimage XSI 2013 Student Version. I can hopefully migrate to 3DS Max or Maya, whatever you guys are using. Though if there was any way I could keep using XSI to model, that would be great. I could have someone else rig the model for CRYENGINE 3 maybe? Anyhow, glad you like it!

Thank you! I love penguins, and I also love the Operating System Linux. Which it's symbol is a penguin. So yeah, thats why I chose it. :D

I am using 3DS Max. Maya it's very good too. You have to use the most comfortable program for you.

You'll have to watch out for the sloths around here, not sure how they respond to penguins!

Flying penguins and owls, watch out! :D

Ok, trying to get back on topic:

There is a student version of the default Autodesk 3ds Max for 3 years license, which is free. Some of us here use it, and it just works like the retail one.

Well, the more you practice, receive experience, and variety of roles you might make a name for yourself in the gaming developing industry.

This is just a basic overview of modeling for CryENGINE. Tutorials are huge in your life, we all learn by them one way or another.

Awesome guys, downloading 3DS Max 2012 now. I read that the 2012 was the standard version of it. It may take like a full day on my slow internet ( < 250KB/s) but otherwise, it should be fine.
