For assets (buildings, vegetation, props etc) , if you create them, yes.

For terrain, to be honest I have no idea how to apply that (like craters appearing when a shell hits or maybe it is not possible at all). In the 2nd photo above, those are just smoke and fire particles being used. ;)

@litchu Great start, is this in Designer Tool?

As for me I have been working on another map, I am planning to include gameplay too!

Finally got around to heightmaps from WM2 to CE3. No detail to texture, yet, I'm afraid.

For something different, I decided to take time to properly model and texture in 3ds Max. Some textures are complete with Diffuse, Specular, and Normal maps. I also cut down the poly count too. I need to learn decals in 3ds Max also, which will make it a lot better appearance.

I tried to make it something of a French (WW2) building:

Front: Poly model

Back: Poly Model

Front

Back; the stone side below seems to be a bit lighter than the above one, perhaps Specular issues?

Some interior

Everything is WIP, but please give some advice on it below. :)

Nice stuff Rough, it certainly a good start. I'd suggest looking at making some of the tiling on the walls a lot less obvious, the wooden shutters could do with a little more detail too - but coming along :)

That panzers looking great too - lovely start. I hate modelling vehicles

Very funny for me, but i have to see millions of images of the tank to replicate it the best that i can. It's difficult jaja

Yeah I agree, the model isn't exactly symmetrical, so I might have to redo it again. After all, it is my first halfways decent looking house. :D
Trying to learn decals to get rid of those tiling, I could adjust the tiles, but the stone might get too big or too small. ;)

By the way, nice Panzer III there drummer, coming along.

Hey guys! I am new around here, but I am a 3D modeller, looking to expand into modern game engines. I dont currently have a great PC, but when I get a job this summer, hopefully that will change. Now, here is some of my work for Star Wars Battlefront 2:

A lee enfield that I worked on:

An M-98 widow that I made when I was part of a mod team for SWBF2:

And a several other, lesser quality items. Things like hand grenades, 2k triangle player models, < 1k triangle pistol models, things like that. And a crate. My lovely crate.

I have applied and I hope to join the Traction Wars team!

Do you have some high poly model to show us?

Hipoly as in subdivision surface modeling. A standardized workflow for generating normal maps and other baked down textures.

Im not too sure what else to model onto the body, the part above the magazine. So its fairly low-detail there. My cylinders are 24 sided, not sure if thats too much or not enough. Other than that, commetns/questions/flames/jawas?

I'm not much of a modeler myself, but the gun itself looks a bit too chunky. Looks a bit too short to be a M4 Carbine unless it is a M4 SMG? The foregrip looks a bit too big too, too be honest, if you lengthen the foregrip, this might help. The foresight and rearsight, where are they?

There are many more, but you might find them by looking at a reference.

Only providing friendly criticism. :)
