A German Sturmgeschütz III that was captured during January-February 1945 in the Battle of the Bulge by the U.S. Army's 104th Infantry Division. Take a look to the added concrete layer and the use of an STG 44 in the remote control mg mount in place of the usual MG 34.

This photo shows the glacis of a Sherman "Jumbo". The structure has been subjected to shots of 90 mm and 76 mm at different angles. The notes inform the type of ammo, speed and trip command.
The Sherman "Jumbo" variant was designed to ruptures. The front shell was reinforced by adding additional steel plates. The chassis front armor was 102 mm at 47 ° from the vertical, equivalent to ~ 150 mm armor.

A Panzer IV knocked out in Normandy. Inspiration for a static on a map somewhere perhaps?

This iconic shot, taken by the famous Soviet war photographer Yevgeny Khaldei and published on 13 May 1945 in the Ogonyk magazine, was a stage-managed re-enactment. According to Soviet accounts, the real hoisting of the Red Flag atop the Reichstag occurred on the night of 30 April after repeated attempts by Soviet soldiers to overcome a determined German garrison.

Not only that but you see it's a mortar team, notice the two guys carrying baseplates and the two guys carrying tubes for Granatwerfer 34s.
